Holistic Care
Please explain your
holistic strategy. Include
how spiritual,
physical, mental, emotional, and environmental concerns
are addressed and
cared for.
1.Spiritually,we
teach and mentor kids in a Godly manner, we tell them that whatever we have
comes from God and we teach them that Jesus Christ is LORD and with Him we have
a brighter future.
2.Emotionally
we provide counseling service to the children mostly on the reproductive
healthy e.g. hygiene, and good discipline, This is done through Pastors,
Parents and aged people.
since
there secondary School children we also talk about sex and HIV in adolescents
3.Mentally,
the ministry encourages the children to do some hand work which can help them
to develop their talents for example singing, carpentry like making chairs,
basket weaving and making mats. We have now started an International School
that will cover all areas above in the Curriculum to enable us reach our
mission statement.
4. For Environment,
since we do not have enough land where to practice agriculture and poultry
farming, however the children have managed to grow flowers and keeping the
environment clean in that small part we rent.
5.
Physically, children have been provided with quality education that is , they
are able to read and write, balanced diet and good health. we would have laid
other physical strategies but we do not have land or permanent house to reach
our plans.
Holistic Strategy: Is
the organization mindful and active in implementing all aspects of the holistic
model (spiritual, emotional,
mental, physical,
& environmental)?
yes but
also we need to get our own land for
better implementation of the environmental and physical aspects
Does this permeate all activities at the
location?
No

Yes but
on a small scale.

advice, spiritual wisdom, and gifts?
The
Church we fellowship with is ready to give advice, spiritually wisdom and small
gifts but not on a daily basis
Can those served at
the organization worship and be disciple at the local church?
Yes. In
fact the grown up kids have joined the worship team of the church.
Are there rhythms built into the week to allow
for rest,
Praying, silence,
healing, and feasting?
yes. Its
monthly on our time table that is, we take time as staff members and share both
Spiritual
and physical food together planning the future of the organization
Are staff given two
or three weeks off per year to be away from the organization and spend time
with family
or pursuing other
interests?
Yes
Does prayer permeate
the organization? We do believe
Is time available for
listening to God during prayer? Yes please. we fellowship
on a daily basis and also take time in prayer and fasting
so that we can listen to what God is directing
us to do
Are movements from
God that come about from prayer valid and well-received?
Yes. In
this we make sure that we follow most of the things that God reveals to us
spiritually because every thing starts from the spiritual realm. And it is
written ”Your word is a lamp to my feet and a guide to my path”. And those who
are led by the spirit are children of God.
A WORD TO GUIDE US.
Jeremiah 22:16"He defended the cause of the poor and the needy, and so all went well.
Is that not what it means to know me?"declares the LORD.
